check out the documentary, not only was it a real job, it was an upper middle class and free roaming paying job. dudes buying colt .45 guns, living off the land. texas has always been a very rich state. cattle at the time was $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

Yes I knew this.... Black Oklahomans had farming on lock before the US government took over control. Black slaves that were held in Oklahoma by native americans were taught how to farm. This is how a lot of them made a living.
