Did Xbox Live really just tell me I had to change my gamertag?

DaNamelessPimpB...all of a sudden I was logged off of Xbox live and told I had to change my gamertag because it violated their new terms or whatever.

so i changed it to DaNamelessPimp and it let me...


I've been playing Halo: Reach a lot lately. BF3 lost my attention when premium came out. played once yesterday and got kicked from the server right away and then every time i wanted to find a game for rush it'd put me in a conquest game, probably gonna sell it soon. otherwise i play nba 2k12 online.

Yep. That's what happens. I remember during the Saints Row days playas would file a compliant if they lost the match and report that the gamertag had an offensive name.

That happened to me twice, but my GT's were 'EazyMuphuknE', and 'DieAkkarkDie'

This. You probably raped someone online and they got emotional and reported your tag. It's funny though, because you need more than one person to report the tag before xbl makes them change it. So the fukk boy reported you and then told everyone on his friend list to report to.

I've had nikkas on my list send me a msg saying report my tag so i can change it. I would laugh and delete the msg.

Nah, it was free. What was great about it was I originally wanted the GT DaNamelessPimp but it was taken. The other dude musta got reported too which freed that up for me. Winning!
