No, because "they didn't do it, their ancestors did, it happened a long time ago and Black people owned slaves too." :ohwell:

Did whites not feel bad about enslaving blacks?
Of the like 25% (if you include the North the percentage shrinks) of Southern Whites who owned slaves, some did (and freed them- especially upon their death), some didn't (or at least not bad enough to free them). What kind of question is this?

>Do whites not feel guilty about enslaving blacks

(assuming you're talking about whites today)

Guilt implies personal responsibility. If you had no control over it, or no influence over the outcome of said situation, then it isn't your fault. You are not responsible.

Still -- in the context of white guilt -- some contended that white ppl, today, are still benefiting off wrongdoings done to blacks in the past, thus, on some level, they're guilty(collective guilt). However, the problem with this logic is that there is no limit on how far you can go when applying it, that's why I feel like it's more rational to place guilt on the ppl/person directly responsible for a action.

In truth their White ancestors were only one part of the enslaving. Africans were the other part of the enslavers as it was they that sold their war prisoners to the Europeans. So my questions is do the Africans feel bad about what their ancestors did in slavery? I ask that because even before selling other Africans to the White man the Africans had sold other Africans to the smelly Arabs.

And then we wonder why God has turned his back on the descendants of Africans in Africa and allowed them to be exploited and put in bondage in their own lands. There needs to be some repenting.
