In regards to "Sweating women/hos"

He's always been known for begging in his songs. Did the word originate from him and his music, or was it just coincidence?

I think people picked up the term from Paulie from the Rocky series. He meant it as "not scared of"...but slang always takes on a life of it's own.

I think it was even used way back before Paulie. I don't sweat you = I'm not a groupie/stick rider. Or don't sweat it = don't let it bother me.

Iceberg Slim used this phrase IIRC.
