Did people seriously expect Jonny Manziel to excel in Cleveland?

They've had like 20 different QBs over the last 15 years. Idk how many headcoaches and have been shyt for as long as I remember. Now Manziel hasn't made it east for you to like him but still. He definitely wasn't the one to lead them to the promised land.

Definitely didn't expect him to excel.. I was visibly angry when they drafted him. Had a couple friends over drinking beers watching that draft and we were all pissed (all of us Aggies) that he got drafted by that loser franchise.

He hasn't done himself any favors though. I've defended some of his antics, but others pretty clearly show that he's not serious about his profession. The only question is: Is it only because he's in a hopeless situation in Cleveland? Or does he just truly not give a fukk? Because if he got his shyt together and acted like an adult for once, I think he could be an above average QB in the league. Maybe even a franchise QB

Maybe not excel but definitely not fukk up like he has the past two years. At the least he should have handled himself like a professional and been ready when they did call on him to start.
