I dont buy as many games as I used to but I remember around the same time conpanies started getting real funny with the dlc Bethseda kinda tooped everyone when they released fallout 3 with a wack ass ending/no ending at all. Did that end up green lighting other companies to do the same thing? How did it affect the industry?

Probably on consoles, but DLC was already the norm on the PC

2K has just been blatantly bad over the past few years. $60 base game and then a VC grind to death for a goddamn sports game.

They insult your money too
You could give them $1000 but your player will still cap out at 85 and be forced to grind.
