Did ANYONE Like 'Cloud Atlas'?

shyts 3 hrs long. i dont wanna waste my time if this shyt is boring and hard to follow. i remember it came and went in theaters with little to no hype at all. did anyone see it, what did you think. worth checking out?

is it at least better than prometheus?

Thumbs up. It's like 5 movies in one. It is not as profound as the filmmakers seem to think, but it is a good movie. Definitely worth the time to watch. Saw it in a theater with albeit a lot of old white folks but when it was over it got a standing ovation.

It is similar to movies like Babel, Pulp Fiction, Crash, etc. Separate stories that are intertwined, in this though it is 5 stories, and they are linear like the first starts in the 1800s and the last is in like a post-apocalyptic future. And they reuse the same actors in most stories with huge makeup, setting and time changes.

I saw what they were trying to do with it but the execution was pretty shytty. Impossible to actually be engaged in any of the scenes cause they're chopped up so sporadically that you forget who's who and wtf is going on.

They say you gotta watch it like 3 times to fully understand it, so if you got 9 hours to waste then go ahead

Yeah I will say the pacing doesn't always work but they were rather ambitious trying to tell 5 stories at once. I appreciate the ambition even if not completely successful.
