Detroit Police Cheif: arm yourselves to drop crime rate

If more citizens were armed, criminals would think twice about attacking them, Detroit Police Chief James Craig said Thursday.

Urban police chiefs are typically in favor of gun control or reluctant to discuss the issue, but Craig on Thursday was candid about how he’s changed his mind.

“When we look at the good community members who have concealed weapons permits, the likelihood they’ll shoot is based on a lack of confidence in this Police Department,” Craig said at a press conference at police headquarters, adding that he thinks more Detroit citizens feel safer, thanks in part to a 7 percent drop in violent crime in 2013.

If citizens are armed, then the criminals will shoot first and take the citizens lives, guns and whatever goods they have in their possession...
Everybody being armed only creates a greater potential for fatal violence...

But if you live in the USA, you better arm yourself, because gun violence is a big part of American culture...

In Canada, I don't feel like I need to arm myself for protection...The chances of somebody running up in your home with a gun are very slim, because criminals know that most people are not armed, so there is no need to bring guns around...

I support this mayor. Detroit is a war zone. Stay strapped and protect yourself. In a place where Dominos will show up before the police department, I think its a no brainer to conceal carry and eliminate all threats.
