Woodson (1875-1950), founder of The Journal of Negro History and Negro History Week (precursor to Black History Month). This episode was broadcast for the 25th anniversary of Negro History Week. Dr. Woodson (who does not appear in this episode) died less than two months after the airing of this episode at the age of 74.
