Desiigner’s “Panda” Is Now Certified Platinum

Desiigner’s “Panda” Is Now Certified Platinum

Desiigner is still flourishing. It has now been confirmed that his hit single “Panda” is platinum.

The Recording Industry Association of America [RIAA] confirmed that the single achieved platinum status on May 3. The Brooklyn teenager shared the news via his Instagram page earlier today.

Representatives for the song’s producer, Menace, have also confirmed. The song has grown in folk lore after it was reported that Menace originally sold Desiigner the beat for $200 from off the internet. The beat is still on Youtube described as an “Ace Hood/Meek Mill/Wale type beat.”

Desiigner’s debut single made history in April when it hit number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. As a result he became the youngest artist to top the chart since Chris Brown did it back in 2007. And he is the first first rapper to sit atop the Hot 100 with a debut chart entry since Iggy Azalea did it with “Fancy.” A solo male rapper hasn’t earned the No. 1 distinction with their first single since Wiz Khalifa’s “Black And Yellow.”

I just wanna thank Desiigner and the rest of the nest for everything we do for eachother. For those who don't know, I struggle with heroin addiction. I have for the last 15 years of my life and I'm ashamed of some of the things that I've done to feed my addiction :wow:

That all changed after Panda dropped. The melody, the lyrics, the delivery. It all made me realize what a gift life is. And that I should focus on myself.

When I heard the lyrics "Black x6 Phantom, White x6 look like a Panda" I realized the metaphor he was getting at. He was really talking about the contrast of the situations. that we all face in life. The Black x6 and White x6 lines really mean that we all have different ways of getting where we need to go. Some of us go black (darkness) and some of go white (lightness) but we are our best versions when we combine the two methods of transportation (vehicles) to take us where we need to go. You have to be a Panda to get ahead. You can't be too dark, or too light. You need both. And I've learned that from listening to Panda so often. It's a constant reminder that life is going to throw us things, but when we use our tragedies as motivations and instead of trying to relinquish the pain, USE that pain and let that pain become a part of us, only then can we become whole.

Thank you Desiigner. For everything .:to:

hang on breh:mjcry:, the Nest is always here. He really is a genius when it comes to how he places these lessons under perceived shallow lyrics, like When he said going out like montana i think he was hinting at how we chase the cars, the women, and the power, but those who put their values last in the pursuit of profits never end up truly happy. Desiigner like everyone else struggles between doing whats right and what the world expect him to do as a young black man in America. He knows they want him to run credit card scams because it keeps him from be a righteous powerful man, but thats where the money and power is.But the world is yours young man, the world is yours:mjcry:
