'Lemonade' Producer Mike Dean Gives the Behind-the-Scenes Scoop on Beyoncé's Opus
Yeah, I’m supposed to be doing Sky Ferreira’s album, which is kind of a scheduling nightmare. I’m doing Travis’ album, I’m executive producing Desiigner’s album

have yet to see what he's capable of tbh

imma reserve judgement

I feel you.

I will say this tho. Artists who have staying power usually have their 1 main hit song but also 3-4 very popular songs that eventually become hits at the same time during their breakout run.

I noticed this when Future out the gate had "Same Damn Time", "Magic", "Turn Off The Lights"...etc.

We have yet to hear any more from Desiigner.

Panda is a cool song but this is a waste of Mike's time. Although if Mike wasn't involved the album would be guaranteed garbage juice. Desiigner isn't an album artist.
This sets that fact in stone:

Hate to say but dude has potential, he flowed better than Nas or Jay Z ever did on that Panda track and it was effortless,, his mic presence alone is top 3 of all time. He makes future sound like a boy in comparison. I know I'm just going off of one song but If dude strayed from trap and went the dancehall route, I think he could have the potential for a classic album.

This has to be a low point in Mike Dean's overlooked, illustrious career in hip hop.

Couldn't he have just said no...or is he a slave to GOOD Music as he was to Rap-A-Lot?

Whatever, maybe he wants to...
