The consistently excellent and competitive Miami Heat in the NBA and defending Stanley cup champion Florida Panthers in the NHL say otherwise :coffee:

The City of Miami and its culture/vibes is not the problem, the Dolphins (and i won’t forget the marlins in Major League Baseball too) are just a inept and dysfunctional organization/franchise themselves. The 1970s was the Last decade that they were a winning and competent franchise with high standards of excellence. But unfortunately for dolphins fans, Don Shula ain’t coming back. You can’t always rest on the shoulders of your glorious past forever. More than Half of the current dolphins fans weren’t even born when Miami had the 1972 perfect(undefeated )season anyway.

heatculture is thriving in south Florida because they have high standards of excellence for their organization and prioritize winning above anything else. What’s the excuse for the fins?

The same Miami culture that lead to an undefeated NFL championship and 5 NCAA titles?

Don't blame the culture blame yourself
They've won titles in just about every sport in the past 30 yrs . Detroit would kill for that. Besides the Michigan natty we haven't won anything since the wings in 08

The Undefeated Fins were 50 years ago. They haven't won a playoff game in nearly 25 years. They have a finesse team now, and finesse teams don't win in January. I'm always surprised listening to Lebatard show when they don't realize this. Winning starts in the trenches.

The Canes did all that winning back when they still had the Orange Bowl. Since they moved into Hard Rock Stadium 15 years ago they've made one ACC championship appearance where they lost by five touchdowns.

Elliott was right.

Culture of a city doesn't mean shyt if the organization is run well.

Lakers - more distractions than Miami and they got 17, 18 championships...most of em in Los Angeles (Minneapolis before the move). Dodgers JUST won the damn ship for LA.

70s AND 90s Cowboys - more cocaine and hookers than Medellin but near the top if not #1 in all-time win pct plus the rings

Miami Heat - of course

U$C - not great at the moment but they are CFB bluebloods in fukking LA. Pete had them boys cooking.

NY Giants (Parcells & Coughlin) - LT by himself got up to more shyt than the entire 2024 Miami Dolphins roster....didn't stop them from claiming 4 Lombardi's between '86 and 2011.

NY Yankees - nuff said

Big markets win a lot of rings in the major sports. Miami isn't the problem....the organization and maybe the types of players they sign/draft is the issue.
