Yep. I've been hearing about a "Right Wing" shift among Black America since Obama was in office and it never transpired.

And, honestly, even the Black people I know who don't care for Biden irl still think Trump and the GOP as a whole is gutter racist trash and feel like their options are either to not vote or to vote for a better Democrat instead.

The GOP honestly shot themselves in the foot by trying to do away with tangibles right off the bat before the election. It exposed their agenda way too early before they could pull a "bait and switch" on their small Black voter base.

Democrats wanna treat brehs like we're the side-piece you smash at 2AM but don't take out on dates. They want our votes but are trying not to pass off racist non-Blacks and lefty whites.

As we all know, anything that appears to benefit us will make others pissed.

What Dems gotta do is figure out where brehs are struggling and come up with policy that helps us...but doesn't explicitly appear to help us. In other words it's legislation designed for us but can also help others that happen to have the same issues.

Brehs want tangibles. You get us the goods and we give you the vote. Latinos are low key a blessing in disguise. They'll never go full Democrat like us. They need every vote from us to win but we gotta make em earn it.

It's performative bullshyt. They trot these polls out so people like Bakari, Angela Rye etc will start beating nikkas over the head to get in line. Then after the election they cash their checks and we won't see them until it's midterm election time. My problem is that there's zero evidence people are just gonna sit at home or not vote. I'm sure Torraine would love if they did, of course. But it ain't happening. And I actually like a lot of Torraine's content, but politically he's an idiot.

Post-covid/quarantine and post-Roe v Wade we're not going back to people not voting. We've now had multiple elections with record breaking turnout, and the same will happen next year.

i think this is the issue. dems need to more directly help black men but do it in a way that there is plausible deniability so other demos dont get triggered.
