Yep. I've been hearing about a "Right Wing" shift among Black America since Obama was in office and it never transpired.

And, honestly, even the Black people I know who don't care for Biden irl still think Trump and the GOP as a whole is gutter racist trash and feel like their options are either to not vote or to vote for a better Democrat instead.

The GOP honestly shot themselves in the foot by trying to do away with tangibles right off the bat before the election. It exposed their agenda way too early before they could pull a "bait and switch" on their small Black voter base.

This is backwards. When Obama was elected do remember he had a mandate. Based on that and the general population trends of this country, Republicans were deathly afraid they would not win another election for decades.

What saved them was the tea party (still lost), then birther movement, which gave way to trump and maga. And even still, at their most visceral racist desperate form, they still lose the poplar vote and barely squeak out 1 win.

Bottom line the state of our culture is such that republicans should never win. Had a long ass convo with a lifetime poitical guy and he made the great point that the US is a LIBERAL country. Like really think about it. We’re liberal af. The republicans win bc they stay on code and cheat their ass off and have a way better concept of thr bigger picture. They’ve set up the SC to be conservative for what could be a record amount, in large part bc ‘ehh, we didn’t like the way Hillary talked.

Republicans will need to fight and claw to win any election going forward and they will do just that. Meanwhile we, liberals have 2 fights 1 against republicans and 1 against our own defection from the party

This has been a disturbing trend for a while now with black men. Every single election since Barack Obama first one the share of black male voters for the democrats has dropped. Obama didn’t win the same amount, Hilary lost more and so did Biden so this trend seems to be continuous (95 to 86)

That being said it’s all correlated to the economics of black men in general and that’s not something Democrats nor republicans can fully control since the economy is very decentralized.

Here’s the second problem for Joe he can talk about his investment but as Bill Clinton once said the voters have to “Feel like it’s happening to them” not tell them it.

This is why I wish Joe went all in on his free college tuition plan and absolutely destroy Manchin and Sinema for blocking him. This is where Gavin Newsome absolutely shines. He will go bold and big and let the chips fall where they may. The Governor of Wisconsin is like this as well.

National Democrats have to stop being so scared of everything and push your universal health care bills, your four day work week plan, your strong Union bills and free college tuition plans (All great policies) and let the chips drop. Give these black men something to “Feel” and gravitate towards.

I don't know about all that. The GOP won the House AND the Senate in the 2014 midterms while Obama was running. I know that there was a fear pre-Trump as to whether Republicans could win another election or not but that has more to do with the popular vote than Obama.

The U.S. is still significantly more conservative and religious than Canada, Western Europe, and Australia/New Zealand. Outside of major cities and certain suburbs, America is honestly conservative af for Western standards. Even voting district maps show this.
