Harris reset the election, and congressional Dems are starting to shift strategies

Democrats are seeing new energy — and poll numbers. But they also know they still have a serious fight on their hands in November.

Battleground Democrats are suddenly jumping at the chance to campaign with the top of the ticket. Outside groups are pushing resources toward offense. And swing House seats that President Joe Biden was losing by large margins are now tied.

Democrats cautiously believed that Biden’s exit would revive their chances in key races. Now they’ve gotten a pile of evidence that it has — and it’s not just a brief moment.

it is quite possible you goofy #bothsides 🤡 might have a realistic shot at reparations if kamala gets into the white house with a senate and house in democratic hands.

Dems will win the house but the senate will be tough to keep since the margin for error is so low. They can only afford to lose one seat. West Virginia is an auto L no matter what with Manchin retiring. Dem candidates are on track to win the other senate races except for two that are close: Montana and Ohio. I think dems hold Ohio, Sherrod Brown is popular (and a really good senator). But Montana...despite the dem incumbent having a lead in some of the polls there, I have serious doubts he can survive there on election night with Trump at the top of the ticket.

IF dems pull it off they'll be at 50+1 (Walz) control of the senate next year. Which is enough to ram through a reconciliation bill (child tax credit? housing money? etc) and also replace Trumps tax bill.
