^^^ Really hope Jay meant Def Jam when he said "us" and not just The Roc because he was being outsold by Luda and Ja during that period until he dropped The Black Album.

Ppl would kill for these numbers today and albums were 12-15 dollars each....but somehow they say they getting more $$$ today without physical sales

That stream is less than a penny in revenue for some artists. Plus in this era, the album really is only listened to for a days, maybe a few weeks. Back then the advances, album budgets and video budgets were much larger. There is a reason people like Dame and Puff (management) made millions without having to write a rhyme.
