With a belt, no. Offering to run a 30 second hand to hand fade with them, yes.
Watch my son Michael after school for a couple of hours Monday through Friday. And on Saturdays from 7am to 3 until I get off work. He's a good kid, I want to keep him out of trouble. He acts out from time to time, don't be afraid to get the belt or run a quick fade with him

I don't believe in hitting kids either way but it's up to the parent.
And after seeing and playing step parent, best bet is to tell they parents the deal and stick around for the ass whooping when they arrive.
