No less a source than the network’s programming president Michael Lombardo said “it’s going to happen,” TV Line reported at the Television Critics Association’s press tour party in Pasadena on Thursday. Creator David Milch has apparently pitched a story for the profanity filled and critically acclaimed cult-favorite Western’s reunion.

Will they pick up the hearst storyline?

How about this? 10 years has passed.

Bulloch is just getting out of jail for manslaughter. Killed a politician suspected of rape while he was a cop in San Francisco. He's received 100 letters from Sol asking him to come back to the hardware business.

Al, Dan, and Sol have set out for the territories and found a new, unsettled camp to work. Sol's hardstore is thriving, Al and Dan have the Gem up and running.

Bulloch makes his way to the camp.

Hearst goons and geologists show up. Deadwood fukkery ensues.

Bulloch dies, Dan dies. Sol escapes heads back to New York. Al escapes heads out looking for somewhere unsettled (but there isn't anywhere left, we know this is the end for Al). Hearst gets the town.

I need to work Wu in somewhere :francis:

Been meaning to binge watch this since I've heard so many good things about it, is this a show that ends with things kinda resolved or is a movie needed to tie up the story? Trying to decide whether to wait to watch when a date for the movie's release is finalized.
