He had a great promo against Cole on NXT as a face, and he got over with the crowd vs. Miz but then they put him in a love triangle where he didn't talk.

Once they allowed the man to speak, he connected.

Even during his shytty face run, every time he was given time to work a match the crowd would get into it without fail, he'd come out to silence and by the end of the match the crowd would be like and rooting for him.
