my initial thought: the track is not aggressive enough (again, I'm taking into consideration of the o.g. version). also, the beat's sample chop doesn't mesh well with the hook - it's in the wrong key. however, the ghost verse seems to fit a bit better.
I'm personally not a fan of dudes trying to remix classics - you're setting yourself up for failure. It's rarely ever received well.
that said, I think the beat is nice on its own; it's a good instrumental for sure. just not really feeling it with these vocals.
