Dave meltzer "top 3 njpw Rumored to leave"

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that three top NJPW stars have been rumored to possibly be leaving the promotion soon. It has also been rumored that WWE has sent feelers out to these stars. The three rumored names are Tetsuya Naito, Kazuchika Okada and KUSHIDA. Meltzer stated the following

“Naito would be one of the three (at least) Japanese top guys feelers have been sent to. The other two that we’re aware of didn’t turn the offers down without thought although one would be a huge surprise and the other would be a great worker who I didn’t see flourishing in the WWE system, but also probably wouldn’t have any reservations about moving to the U.S. like many of the Japanese might.”

Both Okada and KUSHIDA lost their matches at Wrestle Kingdom 13. However, Naito won his match against Chris Jericho in the co-main event to become the new IWGP Intercontinental

Okada ain't going nowhere, Naito is more difficult to tell. He deserves better than he's been booked these past two-three years but we don't know what motivates him really and what he wants to achieve, so he's a toss-up.

As discussed in another thread, Kushida has done everything he can do in NJPW and leaving for a different promotion would be a good change for his career, so I can definitely see him go.

I don't feel like Okada's going anywhere ever, lol. I can definitely buy that there's interest there from WWE and that they made an offer but I don't think he'd ever seriously consider it. Dude seems really comfortable and content where he's at.

Plus, you gotta figure everyone is looking at how Shinsuke's been treated and going "Nah. I'm good, actually.
