Dante's Peak is a Really Good Movie

I hadn't watched it in years and then decided to, last night. It still holds up, even all these years later. The acting, the suspense, the sense of urgency. Even the special effects are still pretty good. The one scene I still don't understand is when Ruth gets out of the boat and tries to pull them to shore, allowing the acid to eat her legs, when they were already so close to it in the first place. Anyway, good movie. 8/10. Would recommend.

Its really interesting that you bring that movie up because, while watching this movie last night, I remembered how much I also enjoyed Volcano. It was such a 90s movie. And, yes, the 90s were filled with weather themed movies (Twister, for example). I long for the days where we had a variety of movie genres represented at the box office, and not just super hero movies.
