WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (29-0, 17KOs) is looking for the "big fights" and wants the likes of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao.

Garcia was ringside last Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas and watched Mayweather (47-0, 26KOs) win a twelve round unanimous decision over Marcos Maidana in their Showtime Pay-Per-View rematch.

It almost seems certain that Garcia is moving up to the welterweight division for his next fight.

"I just have to beat him to the punch, use my jab, fire when he fires [punches] and find a way like I always find a way," Garcia said. "I want all the big fights, all the big names.

Garcia's not that guy to beat Floyd...nah


He'd have a much better chance beating Pacquiao than Floyd. He punches too slow, moves to slow, and has the style (counter puncher) to get nothing but a shutout loss to Floyd imo. It'll look like Floyd vs Canelo all over again.


Maidana had success in the 1st fight because of his work rate and he's an aggressive swarmer. That's not Danny Garcia at all. He needs his opponent to come to HIM, which is why I still think Garcia has a 30-35% chance of beating Pacquiao or possibly KOng him with a counter left hook as Manny is coming in.


Floyd just outbox Garcia to an easy shutout victory.

Nah I wouldnt say that dumb nonsense because he already rocked their knots. Anyway, it doesn't matter if he didn't bring his name up or not, my opinion still stands. I think he's overrated and if you don't its cool.

I agree. Now I think Pac still beats Danny, Danny has a better shot vs Pac because Pac is much more offensively aggressive and fights at distance, both things Danny could potentially capitalize on.

I have long felt that Danny may be the most deserving to get a Floyd fight...but I dont want to see it. I think Danny gets dominated in Guerrero fashion. 11-1 Floyd.
