WBC/WBA junior welterweight champion Danny Garcia (28-0, 16KOs) has some business to take care of on August 9th, when he takes on huge underdog Rod Salka, but a unification with IBF champion Lamont Peterson (32-2-1, 16KOs) is the fight he wants next. The two champions will co-headline a Showtime televised tripleheader from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Peterson will face local challenger Edgar Santana on the show. If both of them win their contests, Garcia would like to unify with Peterson at the end of the year or in early 2015.
"At the end of the day, it’s what I want because I can say what I want, but you know, right now, I’ve got August 9, so I can’t look past anybody. The same with Lamont Peterson. He can’t look past Edgar Santana. At the end of the day, we’ve both got to get these victories and at the end of the year or the beginning of next year that we could do a unification bout," Garcia said.

I dont see the point of them fighting Rod Salka at a 142 catchweight then, but hey
Is this the beginning of an informal Al Haymon Junior Welterweight Invitational Tournament brehs?
Danny Garcia vs Rod Salka
Lamont Peterson vs Edgar Santana
Adrien Broner vs Emmanuel Taylor
Lucas Matthysse vs Roberto Ortiz
followed in early 2015 with:
Danny Garcia vs Lamont Peterson
Adrien Broner vs Lucas Matthysse
then in late 2015 for all the belts:
Winner of Adrien Broner/Lucas Matthysse vs Winner of Danny Garcia/Lamont Peterson
ending with someone being crowned the new King of 140?
