They botched his return, it sorts of freshen up his character .. What they should of done instead was job him out as a face....make the fans think it was the saudi thing, build back up that cult following...then let him have another run

Right. Keeping him down and having him win the title at Wrestlemania would have had a much bigger impact and would have been great for his story and legacy

Problem with that is if fans think that, they'll just give up on him too cause they know if that was the reason nothing would change from them being vocal. This is WWE in 2018

i am all for the heel turn
at his peak DB phenomna was once in a lifetime and not replicable...he would never be has hot as he was when he was battling the Authority

but the WWE did him no favors with his return with Cass, low midcard feuds and the Miz feud didnt live up to expectation

i think the heel run gives him the oppurunity to reset his character, get a TITLE run and his best match back was sunday against playing a semi-heel.
his evil grin alone is worth the turn imo

Would have been a great final chapter to a comeback story with 80,000+ people chanting "Yes". Save the heel turn for post-Mania. Made zero sense with what they wound up doing.

Heels get over in WWE. They haven't been able to book a face properly in years, and Bryan was an anomaly because the fans weren't going to allow him to be buried. But since his return was so badly booked, I'm not surprised he's turned heel and I think it's a good idea in fact. They might as well all be heels - if you wanna get anywhere in the company, be a heel.
