If Aldo were to have missed weight, only Conor would have the opportunity to win the title. If Aldo would've won, the title would be vacated. I think that's what happens.

I always take what Dana says with a grain of salt. And fukk him for throwing MMA's best active fighter under the bus 
Nah.. That's just how WSOF handled theirs ... Typically when weight is missed they don't make it a title fight and take away some of the purse

You're right it does become a non-title fight. But if the challenger wins (and he made weight), I'm sure the UFC would strip the champ of the belt and award it to the challenger. If the champ (missed weight) and won, he would probably be stripped of the title, thus making it vacant. That's what I'm assuming would happen.
