The og story for how the predator that got the gun in 2 (thats shown in prey) is how a predator stalked a pieate ship that marauded and then watched the head pirate fight off his crew which mutunied. He wanted to fight the head pirate by himself but one of the crewmen interrupted the duel.

So i feel this will pay homage. He found out about the og gun story well into preys production so i think thats why they did it

Tbh this could be the best way to use predator prolly ever. Id love to see a film on some primal type stuff. Hunting dinosaurs and the like. Bring some of the comics to life. Original avp stories are comic classics.
