It was the Afghanis who did this, to be clear. They were in charge of taking care of the hospital, but they were bought out by local crime syndicates.

The Americans shoulder the blame though for not supervising and letting gangs run rampant.

Hopefully a couple of people will be imprisoned for life for this atrocity.

these scum bag afghans ...no one put a gun to their head, and said steal supplies and extort your own soldiers, and if the afghan govt has no oversight the fault lies with them

Well the captain feels some type of blame since he fell back during the 2010 election and asked to be transfered.

I don't get this though. The government use the tax money to build this hospital, fly over doctors and military to oversee and teach the hospital staff the daily operations, and then blame it on the Afghanis? There's no way you can defend this....
