I always felt like Daddy-O's ego is what killed Stet.
Frukwan went off to do an album that a lot of people felt was a classic, with Gravediggaz. I still think that hurt Daddy-O's pride. Bro was over there with Prince Paul and RZA, who were already seen as legends by the time the album dropped. And Stet was done by that point. So I think that's why Daddy-O was hurt.
The group wasn't "horror-core" like the other ones at the time, they were satirizing sh*t and speaking out against what was going on in the game. But Daddy-O was gonna have an issue with the group no matter what they were doing.

I remember Esham out of Detroit calling out the Gravediggaz for stepping into the lane that he had created with horrorcore. I listened to their radio singles at the time, and any 5% doctrine flew over my head like when other rappers used it.
Seemed gimmicky, and against what groups like Wu and Stetsa stood for.
Also, the Dr. Ruth appearance Daddy-O talks about was posted here
That Stetsa Free South Africa song and video is what really started the conscious/Afrocentric wave of hip hop in that era.

I know of Stesasonic as a talked about group but more about how Frukwan was in it. Which made me feel he was a respected artist before he was Gravediggaz.
This guy who bullied Paul, I never heard of him in my life.
