D*ck Tracy is one of the most underrated comic book flicks

Sin City gets all the credit for being a movie that really brought the comic book to life, but considering how great it still looks visually even though it dropped more than 20 years ago, dikk Tracy deserves equal props

Early in the development of dikk Tracy, Warren Beatty decided to make the film using a palette limited to just seven colors, primarily red, green, blue and yellow—to evoke the film's comic strip origins; furthermore each of the colors was to be exactly the same shade.

it's far from the best movie based on a comic book, but its definitely one of the best comic book films, if that makes sense
