Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino is scheduled to make her debut in the Women’s 135-pound division at the upcoming Invicta FC event in December.
Cyborg (12-1) will fight on the Invicta FC 10 event against an opponent that will be named in the future, according to Invicta FC president Shannon Knapp.
UFC president Dana White has noted that Cyborg has to prove that she can fight at 135 pounds, as UFC has yet to add a Women’s 145 pound class. White also spoke at a recent UFC media scrum about the possibility of signing the top-ranked Women’s fighter.
“I just don’t want to hear your bullsh-t if I do (sign her) because this sh-t is going to flip as soon as I sign her – about drug testing and all the other bullsh-t,” White said. “It’ll be the biggest f–king topic. It’ll be the biggest f–king story for you to write. Oh my f–king God. The script will flip immediately.”
