First episode was pretty good.

Just binged all 10 episodes.
When IGN gave this a 9/10 I thought it was just their typical bullshyt but what a show. Told a story that was streets ahead of the actual game.
Pretty cool to see how they fully intergrated aspects of the game from visuals to actual locations which are directly ripped from there.
Looking forward to do a deep dive on the show. Particularly in terms of where exactly it fits into the timeline and looking for other Easter eggs/connections to the game that I probably missed.

Cyberpsychosis seems to be a central theme of the show and watching how it unfolds is really gripping.
Loved the line about police "appearing out of thin air"
I really didn't like David or Lucy at the start but after the time skip and more info was revealed, I really started to care for them.
I have no gripes about the other characters though, who I felt were really well-rounded and played their roles well.
Even Adam Smasher had a better portrayal despite only having about 15 minutes of airtime. "You think you're special because you're scrappy?

Ultimately, it was a really sad and miserable story however it was a gripping one and I felt they remained true to what Night City is supposed to be about. People just don't get happy endings there.
