Over the last year I've been in the process of rebuilding my squat form. I took off several months for a half marathon but I'm back at it.

Overall I think my form is ok, but I'm looking for some good input on my form and things I can do to correct it. My goal max is 350, I'm currently sitting at 285.

I'm 230 6'5

Also what's your current programming looking like?

Video is up.

I'm currently doing a cluster program.

For ex. Squats 5 x 3 do a rep wait 12 seconds repeat for 3 reps.

Good morning 7 x7

Leg extensions 3 x 15
Hamstring raises/extensions 3x15

Looks like you're a low bar kinda guy, depth looks good to me.

One thing I'd offer because I have to constantly remind myself of it as a tall guy is to try and take ONE big breath before you decend and exhale it slowly on the way up because we've got a LONG way to travel with that bar. Any variation with your breathing can make you get stuck in the hole/stuck at that last 1/4th of the lift. It's happened to me and made me me miss PR's

Good mornings are such an under used tool, props on that I NEVER see anyone locally doing them.

How often are you squatting? How soon do you want to get to 350?

Yeah I been getting better at breathing. Like you said I take in deep breath in and exhale on the way up. I've definitely noticed a difference in how focused I am when I do this.

I'm taking it slow man. I'm old :francis:

I'm concentrating on form and increasing my by 5 lbs every week or so. I've seen progress so I'll stay the course.

 I feel you man, if the numbers are still going up on the scoreboard then I think you're on the way from what I saw in the vid.

Considering your height it's probably difficult but you lean forward towards the end of the decent. Try keeping your head and chest up a little more. That's going to be bytch as you approach 315+

Depth is good considering you are tall.

Squating like that, especially heavy, is setting you up for a back strain. I'm telling you from experience, I'm 6'6 and used to squat just like that.

Experiment with bar placement and feet spacing until the bar goes straight up and down during your lift instead it leaning forward like it is now and putting all of that pressure on your lower back.

Looks like you have your chest out and shoulder blades back at the beginning but I can't really tell if it stays like that throughout the lift which could also be the issue
