disclaimer: I will be honest about everything, all I ask is for honesty from you

1) Are these foods you normally eat? Do you enjoy the foods you listed? Could you eat these foods for a year straight? 10 years?

2) Do your meals line up with your work/school schedule? Are you snacking because you like to snack or is it simply your plan to make this work? Did you snack before making the decision to change your diet?

3) If you werent currently eating those meals, how much more were you eating before?(that list going only off the numbers provided is 1250. potentially more or less)

4) PM me your official stats(height, current weight, age)

5) Revision what the word diet means, it isnt a one time deal...your diet is what you eat regularly regardless of purpose. Shifts in calories in either direction shouldn't change what you like to eat. Keep this in mind

6) Successful weight loss is strictly about establishing a caloric deficit somehow and being consistent with regular exercise. Are you planning to exercise? and if so you can post that here or send it in the PM

Answer these questions specifically as best as you can and I'll tell you what I think you should do

Some of them yes. I tried all of them before and I actually enjoy eating them. I can try 6 months.
2) Do your meals line up with your work/school schedule? Are you snacking because you like to snack or is it simply your plan to make this work? Did you snack before making the decision to change your diet?

Not working currently and I'm out of school for the summer. Its my plan to make it work plus my doctor told me to add at least 2 small healthy snacks to my diet. Yes I did
3) If you werent currently eating those meals, how much more were you eating before?(that list going only off the numbers provided is 1250. potentially more or less)

I was consuming 2600 calories a day.
4) PM me your official stats(height, current weight, age)

Gotcha

I know exactly what a diet is....that is why I stated "new" diet. You're right.
6) Successful weight loss is strictly about establishing a caloric deficit somehow and being consistent with regular exercise. Are you planning to exercise? and if so you can post that here or send it in the PM

Yes I've been exercising everyday and hit the gym twice a week. I'll pm you.

Thank you for answering the questions

As far as your food choices go, i have no problems with them :manny: i personally dont eat that healthy but many people feel the need to be exact. Do you. Just keep in mind that overall calories will dictate whether you lose weight which leads me to this

too continue losing weight, you will need to consume between 1400-1600 calories a day, currently you are under that. Which leads me to feel you may be undereating with your current plan. Imo? cut a snack down and eat a bigger lunch or dinner. Its a simple move allows you to eat alittle more normal and improves your food choices...which in the long run will help you stick to this lifestyle change

Eating the same time everyday isnt that important, but knowing what you are eating is. Should you decide to eat different types of food know in advance the calorie amount and adjust accordingly(remember your range for the day 1400-1600), so depending on what you have going on dont be afraid to compromise when you eat. It really isnt a big deal. There are many here who fast for 16 hours then eat all of their calories in 1-2 sittings. They lose plenty of weight too, at the end of the day overall cals >>>>

You were eating 2600 calories before, 1250 is more than half of that. That much of a jump is significant and the first week will be hard(im assuming you wont be eating less than 1400 after this post) I would consider easing into 1800 the first 2 days, then into the range i described.

With your exercises make the lifting you do the focal point. you dont have to do cardio every day, every other day or whatever. Use it to make you feel better personally. Improving your lung capacity etc. You getting in better shape will be 90% the diet you have laid out. Not the cardio. However the lifting you DO will influence your weight loss, not in the numbers lost but the fractions. The better you workout the more muscle will be spared per pound of weight lost. While calorie deficit DOES ensure weight loss. It isnt specific to fat. Make the lifting aspect your focus even if its light workouts(which imo is all youll need) but the more muscle spared the better. Which to your benefit will be a nice body at the end of the tunnel.

One last thing, dont be afraid to switch up what you eat. While eating specific things can be easy for some its not for others. As long as you know whats being ingested at all times. You wont fail if you stick to the range provided.

good luck

its only my opinion but calories are calories :manny:

a hawaiian sweet roll is like 150 calories, which gets you 1400 can have that with dinner

could have full fat yogurt and add 50 calories

its little things. but at the end of the day keep in mind that body composition has more of a role on how healthy you are than what you regularly ingest

there are people in nicaragua who live off of goat meat and fermented corn and their average life span is 96 years :manny:

get rid of the bagel the white bread...substitute brown rice sweet potatoes brocolli for your carbs. If you must have bread buy whole sprouted bread from whole foods

and add in some of the yellow part of the eggs thats where all the nutrition is and buy cage free omega 3 eggs

other than that your diet seems fine and its already working for you anyway so i'm sure calorie wise your fine but if you want perfection cut out the white bread asap

Ive beem at the same exact weight for 6 months but my sleep physique lack of sluggishness have never been better since I cleaned up my diet headaches gone stifness snd insomnia gone

Calories are not calories. its more than just avoiding empty calories but consuming functional calories

The only people that a calorie is a calorie philosophy is for elite athleyes who have spent every wakinf day since the early teens burming off every last bit of energy their body could expend without killing them

I'm not an elite athlete but I've followed the same mantra through 70lbs weight loss and I'm stronger than I ever was :manny:

There's a professor who did a self experiment and lost 30 lbs eating only twinkles and other hostess products with a generic multi vitamin :mjpls:

I do agree with you that she doesn't have to overboard trying to make overly healthy choices but the protein content of her meals checks out for a woman

did that for her already from info in PM :myman: i know girls are particular about that stuff

I'm trying to keep my main meals under 350 calories each and my snacks under 100.

Is that a good thing? Critique my diet breh

You're having too little calories good friend. You should up them and get 2,000 a day, or around 1,700. But you must exercise and you will lose weight the healthy way! Try fast walking, friend.
