- "It's crazy and makes me laugh, with all the antics that Canelo is doing and saying in the media. About the size and he won't get no credit"
- "But Canelo has been fighting smaller guys his whole career. He's been making his own catchweight for years. Canelo fought a smaller Mayweather, a smaller Amir Khan, Jermell Charlo"
- "Now he has all these excuses why he won't fight me. If I'm easy work, and you a businessman, then you would take all that money he was offering. He wanted $200 mill for Benevidez. And he wants $150 mill to fight me. That let's me know that I'm a threat to him"

I'll add John Ryder was a 160 pounder that moved up to 168
Mungia was also a 160 pounder that moved up to 168

Canelo got 3 mill purse + whatever percentage of the 600k buys or so vs Khan. And Khan wasnt getting shyt, so canelo ate well there

The only fight Crawford got good buys for was Spence, and Spence was the one that consistently got higher buys for his fights.

Crawford sound desperate bevause he's getting old

Nelo one of my favorites. But even he knows he fought a smaller Floyd who was older and still lost by a lot (the scorecards were trash)

I like crawford but dude looks cringe as hell begging for this fight, the way he has been :francis:.

No, what's cringe is the bytchazz ducking and excuses that Canelo has been on for years and continues to be on. And what's even more cringe is weirdos defending and allowing it.

I don't think Bud needs this fight, but fighters are supposed to want to fight other fighters.

I get Buds frustration because the "won't get credit for the fight" excuse doesn't really hold much weight given Canelo's other fights no one cares about
Bud just begging too much giving Canelo even more leverage to drag it out for more money if he's ever going to take the fight. Just stay busy and continue to build your profile

The same way you feel about Nelo's "antics" I imagine that's the same way Boots feel about you ignoring that fight.

Nelo trying to ride off into the sunset and retire too. Nothing wrong with him asking for more money for that fight.
I completely understand both sides in Canelo and Bud's arguments, but that shyt ain't the same as Boots. Boots actions are contradictory to his statements. If he wants that fight to be made them come to 54 and make it. And he doesn't have any legacy or accomplishments to put behind the call-out, if you can call it that. That's not the same for Bud, who's now a 4 division champ. Those type of accolades give you a certain cache to possibly line jump that just being the next up and coming nikka doesn't garner.

Boxing fans really be rockheads and most don't know how to look at shyt objectively most times. Just Stan the hell out of fighters and spout endless bullshyt. And that part ain't directed at you, just something I notice in general. Boxing has the worst "journalist" reporting on it of any major sport. Just more fans with YouTube pages giving you slanted news based on who they like or who's throwing bread their way.

So first I want to say I actually want to see the Nelo vs Bud/Benavidez fight. So you can miss me with the stan comment.

My point is just because you call someone out doesn't mean they have to fight you.

If that's the case Benavidez would've fought Morrell by now. And Bud Boots.

shyt Teofimo Lopez and Bud. Teofimo beat Loma and Josh Taylor "HE DESERVES THAT BUD FIGHT!" See how that works? When really Bud can do whatever he wants breh.

Same way they can ignore Morrell, Lopez and Boots. Canelo can ignore them if he chooses. He named his price to make the fight just need someone to put the money up.

Dog, I specifically said "and that part ain't directed at you" :russ: so I already missed you. I said I understood both fighters viewpoints.

The main point of my statement was that the Boots situation isn't the same as the Crawford situation, unless you want to break it down to the most basic elements.

I don't think ANY fighter deserves a fight. Like Clint Eastwood said, "Deserves got nothing to do with it." Accomplishments can create a case or earn you a right to fight, but doesn't mean their entitled to it. Fighters and fight fans consistently use a poor choice of words to describe a situation. I wouldn't describe any of these as ducks, yet you look all around the net and that's all most fans are calling them. End of the day, i pretty much agree with you in that I actually wanna see the fights too. Would love to see Bud run through 54 then challenge Canelo to a King of Kings battle, but I agree, at this stage they not obligated to fight any fighter that calls them out.

That's fair.

Going from 154 to 175 is not fighting smaller people. Weight classes exist for a reason.

I really think this fight is messing with dude now.

Just be satisfied on being the Lightweight to Super Welterweight champ. This fight at 168 lbs. simply ain't meant to be or would be really dumb to take for any reason except financially.

It honestly won't be a good look to end his career talking a whole bunch of shyt only to get destroyed at 168.
