we do... its called TNR. trap neuter release. they get to live their lives out without breeding.
there are some good programs that allow prisoners to join #catset when theyre doing time. helps a lot of these guys develop more empathy and compassion when given that responsibility. i mean, the cats dont know theyre in jail.
TNR doesn't work if they keep killing birds and attracting coyotes, mountain cats, etc.
People, please keep your pets leashed and indoors. Spay and Neuter.
