Covid is Eating Good at My Job...

One guy came into work knowing he was sick because our job refuses to pay people who are out with Covid. He didnt want to get tested and get a positive result because he would have run through his sick leave/vacation time or go without a paycheck.

The head boss didnt want to send him home and face backlash for us being understaffed, so he tried to wait a few hours until another guy came in to replace him.

Long story short, sick guy exposed a ton of people and we now have 7 confirmed positive cases and 20 people on quarantine. We are still waiting on everyone else to report their test results, butmore people will end up on quarantine as well.
Ive been racking up on OT, but I had to cancel a vacation, and so did 3 other people.
A lot of people have had to re-arrange their lives for the next few weeks while this gets sorted out.

3 exposed guys have wives that have compromised immune systems or complicated medical histories, and NONE of those guys are vaccinated.

Out of that 27 on quarantine, Ive spoken to 23 of them.
6 were vaccinated, and all tested negative.
8 were un-vaccinated, and 7 of them tested positive.
9 more are un-vaccinated, and have yet to be tested.

The 6 vaccinated people are Democrats.

UPDATE 10/17/21

The head boss was not punished at all.
The guy that was sick and came in to work anyway was fired.
Most people wear masks without problem now, but a few still complain.
We are now required to be vaccinated by November 22.

A few people say they will quit.
Im waiting to see how many follow through

I don’t think this is legal. I’m pretty sure Biden passed a measure last year mandating garunteed leave and compensation for time out of work for covid victims. I remember folks were arbitrarily taking “I’m sick with something vauguely resembling COVID” leave all of last year and the early part of this year.

First of all, CNN said the other day that unvaccinated people spread the virus no more or less than a vaccinated person so if he was vaccinated, he would have gave it to those same people and maybe more because the narrative was "you got the vaccine so you spread it less" so the only person he's harming is himself as he's increasing his risk of dying from the virus without the vaccine Secondly dudes a bytch ass nikka knowing he got the virus and coming to work, fukk that dude.
