They really need to stop comparing us to Italy. Yes people are getting sick here, but Italy’s covid seems to be on some other shyt and the geriatric population in Italy isn’t making it any better.

also this report is the same shyt that’s been said the last 2-3 weeks. They fail to take into account human action and act as if we’re just going to idle and not do anything. We already have therapies that look promising and will cut that number severely.

You sound scared, which is reasonable. But it's the same virus, and the US has a huge elderly population. shyt's gonna get worse before it gets better.

And maybe someone will whip up a vaccine tomorrow. We don't know that. They are making projections with the info they have.

Two weeks ago they couldn’t predict anything

A lot can change (and be learned) in 2 weeks.

That the truth I work at one and the people still come in ignoring all the warnings to stay home to mail out stupid shyt. We still getting ykthese 70+ year olds coming in 3 times per week to but 1 stamp each time . Like "damn mutha fukka, just spend the $11 buy a full book of stamp, and you'll be good for a month" it's like the people at risk the most seem to care the least
That's funny you say that cause my aunt is a clerk and expressed the same thing to me.

She like elderly people coming in there coughing and looking I'll. It could be paranoia, but my Aunt is in her 60s so she has a reason to be shook

Israeli doctor in Italy: We no longer help those over 60
Israeli medical doctor Gai Peleg told Israeli television that in northern Italy the orders are not to allow those over 60 access to respiratory machines.

Italy suffered more coronavirus-related victims than China with 4,825 confirmed deaths and 5,000 confirmed patients in the last 24 hours, Channel 12 reported on Sunday. Israeli doctor Gai Peleg, who is currently working to save lives in Parma, Italy, told Channel 12 that things are only getting worse as the number of patients keeps growing.
As his department receives coronaviruspatients who are terminally ill the focus is to allow patients to meet loved ones and communicate with them during their last moments despite the quarantine regulations. Other reports claim that, as the numbers of dead increases, some families find themselves unable to secure a proper burial for their loved ones.
Peleg said that, from what he sees and hears in the hospital, the instructions are not to offer access to artificial respiratory machines to patients over 60 as such machines are limited in number.

Israel is currently purchasing thousands of respiratory machines, and they are meant to arrive in the country by mid-May. On Saturday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel is using every means it has to secure medical equipment to help patients during the pandemic. He added that all health services in the world face shortages due to the rapid and unexpected nature of COVID-19.

There was one confirmed case in Vatican City a little while ago. I haven't heard anything since. You have to remember that only 1000 people live in Vatican City, it's like a little town, I'm sure there's plenty of other 1000-person communities in Italy that haven't been hit hard yet. A lot of the cases and deaths are concentrated in certain areas, and the worst is in the north.

Also, a few weeks ago the pope stopped appearing in public so crowds wouldn't come to see him and he's livestreaming from his library instead. All the museums have been shut and the churches are now closed to outsiders. And they're following the lockdown rules. So there's a decent chance they could stay clear.

Yeah and the Vatican is basically just a little area in the main city of Rome. Rome isn’t even that bad in regards of covid cases compared to Lombardy etc

This boy here missing brain cells...:mjlol:

You know that’s probably advice coming from Pence. Trump has no ideology. He just does what he thinks will make him look good and popular with his base. This is exactly the kind of non-functioning government conservatives want.
