If you are in B2B sales of a commodity like paper, your boss being inept does very little to do with your ability to get paid besides the distribution of bonuses and shyt. A crappy warehouse manager or accounting department would've been worse.

Merideth was a bigger threat to day to day than michael scott.

Heh, Pam was considered the cute girl of the office and in one episode Ryan accurately judges her as "a 6 in NY but a 7 in Scranton" and her face drops. That was funny because it's so true in real life, a lot of normal/cute looking girls get a false picture of themselves simply because they're the "it girl" in their own little social bubble. They think they're special but really they're just surrounded by a lot of thirsty dudes with low standards.
