Don't think people would pay a shytload for tickets, flights etc for an hour of action at most, with a possible lack of starpower 'headlining'.

I wasn't alive but looking back it looks like a completely garbage idea that would be universally shytted on if it was come up with today

Especially in the tag-team ranks, goddamn, watching Raw and Smackdown from 2000 you had at least 10 genuine piff tag teams who were established and had reasons to be together

Nope.

There's a reason they never tried it again... it was a bad idea that resulted in a poor show, from the production value to the commentary... and yeah they had some talent but most of them were terribly booked. Mania 2 is largely considered a car wreck by everyone but Vince, and that's only because he won't admit it on camera.

If they tried it today, they could probably book it much better than Mania 2, but there ain't a chance in hell it happens. Like homie said, who'd buy an expensive ticket for Mania in advance not even knowing if anyone they wanna see is gonna be on the card in their city?
