It seems like every time I discuss ways to uplift the black community with people I know, they bring that shyt up. On some "we already tired that and it didn't work" type shyt. And every time I ask them better solutions they don't seem to have any answers? I'm not a big fan of the defeatist mentality tbh. If fighting against white supremacy was impossible, we'd still be in chains.

yep, i see it time and time again myself. Bring up supporting black business and owning our own and cats will come in with the "look what they did to Black WallStreet". Bring up changing our own culture/mentality, becoming more unified and placing more of an emphasis on education and intelligence and cats will want to rip your head off and accuse you of "regurgitating Fox News talking points". Systemic oppression is the root cause but at some point its up to US to break free and progress. It seems like everybody wants to use the crutch "white supremacy" for EVERYTHING now. I was sort of the same way when i 1st learned how deep-rooted and systematic its been to INTENTIONALLY keep us as 2nd class citizens. Now that im "awake", its time for solutions. The white man is NOT going to wake up one day and say "im sorry for oppressing you these past 400+ years. Im gonna stop now" Nope, WE gotta make it happen.
