no, not a true one. although that was probably the pinnacle or the peak of black hollywood (arguable, i know) at that time, they couldnt have had a southern cosby show focused on bubba and his family with the occasional FG movie character cameo (i.e forrest jr, lt dan, forrest sr) if anything the spin off that would have worked would have been bubba gump shrimp, with the occasional referrence to bubba and perhaps even cameos from (forrest jr, lt dan, etc)
tbh sounds like something tbs would throw together, focused on the family or his kids who inherited some money or something. Bubba's Family on TBS
