Could an Expendables type movie succeed...... As a horror flick?

I think the failure of Freddy vs Jason makes a lot of people not want to see any more horror cross-overs... but I can imagine Freddy Kruger teaming with the Jigsaw Killer and Pinhead would be an ill combination.

The plot would be so stupid for them to all come together and work with each other i don't see it working...talk about overkill tho, can't go to sleep cuz when u do Freddy is waiting but then when u are awake u gotta watch out for Jason, Michael Myers, Chucky, Pinhead, Candyman,etc....nikka wouldn't stand a chance.

Btw they had a shot at doing this in Freddy vs Jason. After they initially fight each other i thought Freddy could have asked Jason to be his right hand killing machine(but more like his lap dog doing his dirty work)...but there would be no reason for it. Its easy to do the Expendables cuz we talkin bout the actors teaming up...the horror characters themselves wouldn't ever team-up in a plot that wouldn't throw out the fact that these nikkas just kill everybody and don't even have real reasons why lol. Add to all that the fact that none of these bastids can truly die(ie the end of Freddy vs Jason) and while i agree the movie could technically be made i personally think the plot would be garbage....but then again aren't all horror movie plots garbage just for the sake of the violence and body count

Ya know what....it could work and nikkas would pay to see it.

Freddy vs Jason was a horrible movie, but financially it was no where near a failure

How would this movie end?

It would end like all horror movies end: the one cute white girl they should have killed but somehow survives will miraculously find a way to destroy all of the villains with one energy wave blast and kill them all... expect one, posibly Freddy... have him hide out in the dream world so the blast wouldn't touch him and have him find new killers for the sequel.

it can work.. have the devil himself tell em one of u can go back.. then have them all fight and plan on each other while causing a uproar on earth with there body count.. have the devil eventually get got by one of them.. and he takes his rightful place as king of hell

I just can't imagine a crossover slasher movie working. Unless they can play it into Cabin in the Woods 2.

I can see it if they threw them on some Reality Show set on some island where they're trapped, and the show creator fly's in prison cats for them to slaughter. Eventually they get in some huge Battle Royal and winner takes all. Sounds stupid as shyt but I wouldn't put it passed Hollywood to do it.
