Look I know we ALL thought that was some sickness that you get because of costco so Ima just leave that there. But I googled it and I never got that from working out. Youre going too hard you need to relax, your pecs will puff, just be patient.

so what is your prognosis mayne?

i recently got diagnosed with this and i been avoiding any upper body lifting for the last 2 weeks.

from what i heard shyt looks bleak for awhile...i'm gonna hit legs hard for awhile and do mad cardio but man i honestly just wanna be able to take deep breaths without my chest hurting and my sternum cracking... :to:

You've got it bad like I did. The first time your sternum cracks :damn:

I would say eat clean/well and take a month off/as long as it takes for the pain to go totally. I was always doing something and I think it slowed the healing process. I've only just been able to lift again (bench, shoulder, squat) without pain although i'm yet to dip.

But yeah it's been about 10 months now and i'm only just getting back into the gym properly. I know for some people it's just a few weeks of rest and they'll be fine.

My shyt is still likely to crack if I do push-ups to failure :beli:
