lol couple of things about this

This story has been big on my Facebook and a lot of people are getting at him for doing this saying that he should worry about the homeless people in the city etc and that he does this to show off and he really don't care etc etc

I don't know if people are aren't not hearing or reading the story correctly but a local news channel ( channel 7 ) was on there way to cover a story when they drove past this house and saw the dog outside the news lady them tweeted cory booker about it, he asked for the address he showed up with his team they took the dog and contacted the owner. He didnt look for this story or attention this was brought to him.

He does this ALL the time, matter fact am share a personal story of mine that just happened last week . My sister was approached by a homeless man in downtown last week who recently had lost his house due to a fire and had nowhere to get food, she called me to ask me if I knew of any places it was like 6pm, I tried calling some shelters I know and none answered, I contacted Cory Booker on twitter, he sent me his cell #, spoke with me and we found a place for the man to get food. Not the first time I have seen him do things like that through twitter. Many many times people have tweeted him about everything from garbage, to crimes, to unfair tickets etc and he has personally taken care of it or connected them with someone who will.

So honestly its a dammed if you do dammed if you dont thing. Lets say he had no responded to that tweet at all and that dog had died later that night , news headline would have read "newark mayor lets dog freeze to death "

Personally i like his approach call it seeking attention , call it whatever you want but like i said i have personally seen the man help his constituents , you rarely see that type of personal connection between people and politicians anymore.
