UK locked down yesterday. Just saw a message that the spread rate has already started to stabilise, but dunno what to believe anymore

This is infuriating to read.

The charges may soon be coming to more doctor’s offices. Last month, the American Medical Associated lobbied Medicare to begin paying for a new billing code that covers increased protective costs.

The association proposed in September that Medicare reimburse $6.57 for costs associated with protective equipment and new procedures for each visit, a fee significantly less than what some patients have already faced.

When Medicare chooses to reimburse a new medical service, private insurers have traditionally followed the public insurer’s lead — often paying two or three times more. The charge could also turn up on bills sent to uninsured Americans, whose ranks have swelled during the pandemic.

A Medicare spokeswoman declined to comment on whether the new fee would be approved, but said the agency had already “provided additional funding to support providers responding to the Covid-19 pandemic.” That includes billions distributed to providers through the Provider Relief Fund, and a 20 percent increase in Medicare reimbursements for hospitalized Covid-19 patients.

these celebrations are not OK from a virus standpoint :mjlol:

it doesnt matter what reason people are together, from a scientific standpoint. democrats cant be OK with this shyt and then go back to restricting people from having funerals the next day. its fukking embarrassing

really, why should anyone listen to new yorks restrictions after looking at the fukkin streets right now? did the virus take the weekend off because biden won?

but on monday, deblasio is gonna go back to fining businesses for leaving their doors open?
