From social media it seems like i’m the only one who didn’t hit some sort of halloween party
besides going to vegas a few weeks ago, i havent done shyt in 6 months :dead:

and im OK with it, and im down with masks and social distancing, but not past march. thats it. this is no fukkin way to live at all. its bad enough that "two weeks to flatten the curve" turned into a year, but it cannot be allowed to turn into the goverment indefinitely imposing this shyt on everyone

The reality is just that the vaccine NEEDS to drop early in 2021, thats the only way.
Im completely on board with all the measures to get this under control until that point, but there is no way what we have now could be a permanent model to live. Its like the whole world would be operating with an applied handbrake...
Humans are just not ABLE to function without normal social contacts for a long time. Ill be absolutely honest about it, this bullshyt is taking its toll on my mental right now. Especially with a new lockdown, the winter months etc. its absolutely draining....

i just dont think theyll be able to convince society to keep going along with this shyt when it starts getting warm out next spring. and they should USE the winter to strongly push masks and lockdowns and get this fukkin thing under control

so thats 5 months to figure out how to seclude those at risk, and let the rest of us get on with our lives in march

It has to be a collective effort, you cant just lock away a huge part of the population...
Besides the obvious moral problems, If we really think through this, how the hell should they even classify that ??
How many people out there are fat as hell ? How many people got illnesses they dont even know of ? What kind of illness & level of severity would be considered good to go and where does that stop ? How should the effects of a huge percentage of people being excluded from the economy/participating in it like "regular" people be compensated ?

Its not possible. The only way to go is, lockdown and strict measures to get the numbers very low and keep them there until the next year and then distribute vaccines to the people until we have collective "immunity/protection". Anything else wont work

Trump will fire Fauci in November if he loses, bet on it. Nor will he sign a stimulus during the lame duck. He’s gonna spend the entire month either waging an unsuccessful legal battle over the election, or unleashing rage on those who “betrayed” him. Actually he’ll do both.

I could also see him withdrawing government financial support for a vaccine. He’s not going to sit by and let Biden get the credit for a vaccine. Some way, some how he will fukk with it.

If Dems have the votes in the Senate from special elections they should just pass the bill in November and tell him not to sign it. It passes without him and Dems can still get money to people before the end of the year

dems arent getting a fukkin dime to people before the end of the year :dahell:or february for that matter

if you wanted that, you should have supported the only shot at it: pelosi accepting the mnuchin bill two weeks before the election

They’d need a veto proof majority to avoid Trump. Are republicans in the senate gonna play along? I doubt it.

Trump doesn’t have to veto it. Just let it sit on his desk and not sign it. He gets to “protest” on Twitter but he can go play on his golf course.

I doubt the Republicans will care since they know it will pass in the new year anyway. They can vote against it but if the Dems have the Senate they can move forward.

If it's clear he has lost the election and senate republicans acknowledge Biden's win, Trump is going to burn everything down. He will fire Fauci, refuse to pass a stimulus, and largely do nothing outside of find his last ways to pillage the government of money.

I held my homie and hugged him last night, while he was crying, we both were, his Mom just died from Covid after a month on a ventilator. I don't have a major grandstanding point to make, just that to categorize things as "the death rate is 6%" don't always reflect the reality for people who have been affected.
