the CA and local governments have mandated masks in public places out here, but that doesn't stop people from not wearing one. Unfortunately, store employees have to ensure customers comply, who else will? there aren't just random police roaming around to make sure this mandate is followed. despite it being government policy, it hasn't stopped noncompliers.

That is the point I am making. I don't want the police to do it, but you need to penalize people for not wearing a mask, outside of having a security guard telling them to put it on.

there isn't enough government manpower to patrol this, and if you're alluding to fining people, that would be done by police who, in big cities, have much more important things to do. i don't see any realistic way that store workers aren't on the front line of asking guests to put on masks in jurisdictions or chains that require them.

The lockdowns was people taking it seriously. The lockdowns weren’t he best solution though. As I told people who wanted us locked down for years...we not gonna get out of this shyt unless there’s a vaccine or we all get it. There is no other way. You can’t make everyone stay away from each other for years. Or to wear masks. People are too ignorant.
