We're so insane as a country.
I sit across from a true always red republican and he's an alright guy in terms of coworkers but he's also insane.
Literally we'll talk about gun violence, he acknowledges ish is sad but refuses to even consider that just because someone was mentally fit at one point, doesn't mean they'll always be mentally fit and this should affect gun ownership.
Anytime a big shooting happens he wants to discuss it, I've flatout told him I'm not gonna waste breath talking about gun violence if he's not willing to even consider the need to change our gun laws.
Like, what's the point of discussing gun violence if you think changing the laws to address the issue is the wrong thing to do?
There's other ish to do/discuss rather than admit ish is sad, but refuse to acknowledge that changing ish might be a step forward.
A distinctly American sort of stupidity and mania.
The biggest mass shooting we've ever had, was done with guns he owned legally.
But there's clearly no problem with gun ownership in America.
