Just fukked around and watched 'House At The End of the Street' on Netflix. How many movies do I have to watch were a solo cop enters a tough situation all by himself and never calls for backup?:snoop::why:

-I know it might take away from the heroics if they did so but damn.. It pretty much ruins the entire movie imo

Now I love 'Training Day' just as much as the next man but that 'Lonzo vs Hoyt- King Kong ain't got shyt on me' scene at the end wouldn't have gone on that long in real life. Even though it was The Jungles, the cops still would've been there in a heart beat

Really I don't mind it too much when the cops as a whole show up late in a flick. The hero has to be able to do his 'save the day' scenario or the villian has to establish that they are truly evil and a threat. But the lone cop or buddy cop detective team who shows up on the scene and has to draw their guns and everything pretty much never calls for backup

this is the shyt that kills me. I was watching jack reacher last weekend, and right on cue, that exact scenario happened. It's beyond cliche.

that actually wouldn't go down... there's been many documentaries about the jungle.. and even the director had to ask a real blood, to take him there, TO ASK FOR PERMISSION & SAFETY, just to film. now couldn't they just have called the cops as escorts every day seeing how they got a permit from the state to shoot there.

the jungles are real

but i'll be damned if this thread isn't the truest statement ever... this and the "i'm just a regular guy but i found out all the evil plans and who's behind them and the location of the hostages, but fukk calling the cops, lets go handle it ourselves" movie
